A litter of 4 chihuahua/terrier mixes needed help specifically and arrived to rescue from this transport. They are under socialized and working hard on their trust and confidence in foster care. They seem to prefer women and men right now are scary so a patient and committed family will be important for each of them to work through this!
A Note from the Foster: Hey, pick up the phone, it’s your BFF!
It’s Cardinal, I’m calling you let you know I’m officially on the market to be your best friend, so come pick me up, okay?
I’m a total girl’s girl and I’ll be the first to tell you “Honey, we don’t need ANY man”. As an independent strong lady from Louisiana, I don’t care for men much, but I’ll tolerate the right one in my presence… don’t worry, I will let you know loud and clear if he isn’t the right one for you - that’s what BFFs are for!
Slumber parties, cute clothes, stuffed animals, peeking out the window and gossiping about the dog next door, that’s totally my vibe. At 12 lbs, you can tuck me under your arm, and we’ll be good to go… and I’m cuter than any purse (obviously).
I’m totally cool with other dogs as long as they respect my sassy style. I’m part Terrier, part Chihuahua, but 100% bossy. If they mind their own business, then I’ll mind mine. Right now, I’m staying with three large senior dogs - BORING! They are a snooze fest, but I’m not, I love to play and get zoomies.
I sleep in my kennel quietly all night long, am prim and proper on leash, unbothered by the cold despite my southern roots, make full use of my classic terrier intelligence, and have a stunning coat and dashing personality. So, what do you say? Better start typing that application, I’m ready to go!
Adoption Fee: $510 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
