A Note from the Foster: Meet Cami!
Cami is a beautiful young Standard Poodle with a heart full of potential. At just about a year old, she’s bursting with energy and loves nothing more than running joyful laps around the backyard. Her long legs and graceful stride make her a natural athlete, and she would thrive in a home with space to play and explore. Cami needs a high level of activity so a fenced yard is ideal while she works on her leash training. It’s important that if there are other dogs in the home that they are able to be comfortable with her size and energy level.
Cami’s start in life was in a commercial breeding environment, so the big world is still new to her. She can be shy and a bit skittish at first, but she’s making steady progress every day. With patience, love, and consistency, she’ll continue to build confidence and trust. She’s already showing her smarts and adaptability—she does wonderfully in her crate, has excellent potty habits, and is learning that people can be kind and gentle. Cami recently has discovered toys and it has brought out her puppy side even more!
This sweet girl will do best in a home willing to give her the time she needs to blossom. She’s still working on leash skills, so an adopter ready to guide her through training will help her shine. In return, Cami will reward you with loyalty, grace, and an ever-growing zest for life. If you have room in your home and heart for a young, active companion, Cami just might be the perfect match.
Adoption Fee: $550 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
