Adoption Status: Pending
Gender: Male
Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix
Age: Est DOB: 04/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!
History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue efforts continue all winter long as we have recently welcomed another deserving group from our rural area partners in North Dakota.
A Note from the Foster: Hey there world, I'm Buster! My friends say I look just like a Fruit Bat so that's one of my nicknames too. I'm just a little guy but don't let that fool you - my personality is larger than life!
I have been settling into my foster home for a couple of weeks and let me tell you, rescue is pretty darn awesome. There are so many toys to play with and places to explore and I'm having a blast! I am the happiest when I'm trotting around proudly with the latest toy (or sock) I have found. A close second would have to be when I get chest scratches and belly rubs. The other dogs in my house are grown-ups and they're not as interested in playing bitey face and bitey ankles as I am, but every once in awhile, I can convince them to play. I'm working on all the usual puppy skills like crate and potty training and making good progress because I'm so smart and VERY food motivated. I'm getting really good at going for walks around the neighborhood and I don't pull on the leash. After my evening walk I like to curl up with my humans for some TV time and snoozes on the couch.
Anyway, I'm an awesome pup (if I do say so myself) and I can't wait to meet my forever family. Could you be them?
Adoption Fee: $760 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
