History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!
A Note from the Foster: Hi, I’m Buster! I’m a 5-month-old Heeler mix (my mom’s a German Shepherd, so I come from smart, loyal stock). I’m the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and snuggly sidekick vibes.
I’m crate trained, 99% potty trained, and I already know my manners; sit, shake, lay down. I’m working hard on not jumping up when I get excited (it’s just hard not to love people that much!). I’m also not a counter-surfer… unless I smell bacon… then all bets are off.
I live with two dogs, one’s my best playmate and the other tolerates me like a grumpy uncle. There are also cats here; I’m curious about them but respectful. I lived with a little kid when I was in Texas but not here in Minnesota, but I’m a friendly guy who loves attention, so I’d probably do great with respectful kiddos.
If you’re looking for a smart, happy, loyal pup who’s ready to learn and love big, I’m your guy! Let’s start our adventure together!

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
