Bud

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Male
Breed: Labrador Retriever & Great Pyrenees Mix
Age: Est DOB: 07/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Bud! 🐾 — a happy pup who's equal parts playful and snuggly. At just 3 months old, Bud is already showing off what a good boy he’s becoming! He's got that perfect puppy energy: curious, friendly, and always ready for some fun, but he also knows how to settle in for a cuddle  when it's time to relax.

Bud is doing great with house training — he knows what to do when he gets outside and there haven’t been any accidents when we stay on a schedule.

At night, Bud sleeps in his crate. He quickly settles down and sleeps through the night. Daytime crating is a work in progress, but he’s learning that it can be a calm, safe space too.

Bud is social, sweet, and eager to be part of a family that will give him love, structure, and continued training. With his great temperament and growing confidence, Bud is going to make an incredible companion.

If you're looking for a puppy who's the total package — playful, cuddly, and already learning the ropes — Bud might just be your new best friend. 💙

Adoption Fee: $760 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
