Bronx

Adoption Status: Pending

Gender: Male
Breed: Boxer Mix
Age: Est DOB: 04/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue efforts continue all winter long as we have recently welcomed another deserving group from our rural area partners in North Dakota.

A Note from the Foster: Name: Bronx
Age: 5 months
Breed: Boxer mix
Height: Short enough to trip you when I zigzag on walks
Weight: Just enough to make “lap dog” questionable but still adorable

About Me:
I’m a goofy, mild‑mannered pup who’s basically the opposite of an alpha. I’m here for the cuddles, the snacks, and the naps. I’m 99.9% potty trained (hey, mornings are hard, okay? Sometimes I can’t hold it while everyone is getting leashed), and I sleep like a champ in my kennel—8+ hours, no whining, no accidents. I even like to nap in there during the day if you leave the door open.

Hobbies:

• Zigzagging on walks like I’m mapping out a treasure hunt of smells
• Collecting compliments from strangers
• Practicing my “good boy” skills in exchange for treats (I’ll do anything for snacks)
• Making people laugh with my goofy puppy antics
• Napping like it’s my full‑time job

Looking For:
A family who loves walks, belly rubs, and doesn’t mind a little bit of snuggling- I can’t get close enough sometimes). Bonus points if you have other dogs—I’m a social butterfly and love making friends. Cats? I think we’d get along just fine.

Dealbreakers:
If you don’t like cuddles, I’m swiping left.

Perfect Date:
We go for a walk, I zigzag like a pro, then we come home and I crash in my kennel or on your lap while you brag to your friends about how you scored the sweetest, smartest puppy ever.

Adoption Fee: $760 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
