Bones

Adoption Status: Pending

Gender: Male
Breed: French Bulldog
Age: Est DOB: 05/2024
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Unknown
Kid Friendly: Unknown
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Bones is a handsome little fella who arrived to rescue recently and immediately warmed our hearts. He is officially ready to start his journey in finding his forever home and hopes to find them soon!

A Note from the Foster: B-B-B-Bad to the bone. 🦴 🎶

Except I am not bad, I’m just Bones!

I have not experienced much prior to being rescued. People were not kind to me before, so I still flinch and cower when someone tries pet me. I am really nervous I am going to get in trouble, so I spend most of the day curled up on a blanket, but sometimes I try to play with these wonderful things called “toys” at night when no one can see me.

I went outside in the grass for the first time and basked in the sun. It was amazing. I couldn’t stop looking up at the sky and watching the birds. My foster mom even said “Yay, Bones!” when I pooped out there once.

I have been told that most frenchies snore like freight trains. That’s not me! I’m quiet as a mouse. I have not barked, nor whined at my foster home, but maybe one day I will feel comfortable enough to let someone hear my voice.

I love other dogs, big or small, male or female! They make me feel very safe and help me learn new things. I would love to have a buddy to play and cuddle with in my forever home. I am not sure what a “cat” is, but foster mom says I would probably be a good boy with one. I am very mellow.

So, you’re probably thinking, “Are Bones and I the right fit?!” Here are some things I have my paws crossed for in my new home:

🦴 Calm, quiet environment. My family will need to be patient with me while I learn to trust. I am new to this whole being loved thing, and will need time to accept it. Right now, my pen is my safe space and that is where I like to stay while I decompress.

🦴 Home body. I am not up for an adventure quite yet, but I hope to be one day. I’d like to stay in my safe space and not be pushed out of my comfort zone until I am comfortable with my family and environment.

🦴 A friend. I promise I am very friendly to other pups. I would love to have another dog companion and show them just how friendly I am!

Do you think I am the guy for you? Apply online and let’s find out! 🐾

Adoption Fee: $760 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
