History: Bob Bilby is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome who is working on his trust and confidence and hopes to find his forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Meet Bob Bilby! 🤎
Better known around here as Bobby, this sweet Mini Aussie boy recently arrived in rescue and has already been working so hard on learning that the world can be a safe place.
Bobby is a very gentle, sensitive soul who will need a patient and understanding adopter willing to let him move at his own pace. Since coming into rescue, he has made wonderful progress, but he’s still very timid and nervous, especially around new people, sudden sounds, and unfamiliar situations. At the same time, he’s incredibly curious and wants so badly to be brave.
Once Bobby feels comfortable, his personality starts to peek through. He loves exploring, enjoys playing with other dogs, and would absolutely thrive with a confident resident dog to help show him the ropes. Having a canine buddy gives him comfort and helps build his confidence. He also enjoys toys and chew bones here and there, and you can tell he’s a very smart, observant little guy quietly taking everything in.
When Bobby feels overwhelmed, he tends to pace and will need reassurance, patience, and consistency while he learns to trust. Because of this, he would do best in a calm, quieter home without a lot of chaos or rambunctious activity.
A securely fenced yard would be a huge plus for Bobby, as he is definitely a flight risk and would love to go on a sudden adventure set at his own pace.
This special boy isn’t looking for perfection. He’s looking for someone kind enough to let him bloom in his own time. Somewhere out there is the person who will help Bobby realize he never has to be scared again. 🐾

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful!
