Bluish

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Miniature Australian Shepherd
Age: Est DOB: 09/2021
Weight: 13 lbs
Dog Friendly: W/ slow Intros
Cat Friendly: Unknown
Kid Friendly: Unknown
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Bluish is a beautiful girl who needed a second chance at a good life. She quickly wriggled her way into our hearts with how sweet and loving she is and she would make a great addition to a lucky home of her own soon!

Bluish is also undergoing her heart worm treatment and will be available as a foster to adopt.

A Note from the Foster: Hi I am Bluish, but my foster family has been calling me Birdie! I am an adorable, very shy little girl. I may take awhile to warm up to new humans as I’m still pretty skittish, but once I do get comfortable I have grown to show my goofy, zoomie, & snuggly side! Being outside is my favorite. I am still working on learning commands with my shy personality, but I’ve been a very easy girl to have around. Potty training has been a breeze for me, I’ve had very few accidents. I also sleep like a champ in my kennel overnight, as long as you can put it in the bedroom with you! I do not love being in my kennel when alone though, I have gotten so smart, even learning how to break out of it - so it’s preferred you just leave me unkenneled to nap around while you’re away, then I do very great on my own. I’m just starting to learn how to walk on a leash and am slowly starting to really love it. As of now, I would do best as the only dog in the home, I wasn’t a fan of meeting other dogs so far… it was a bit much and scary for me as of now. I’m not very food/treat motivated at the moment either. But I’m learning a lot about how great this new doggy home life is & progressing each week! I have upcoming surgeries/procedures for spay, dental, & heart worm - I cannot wait to find my forever home & people to show how much of a sweetheart I am & to live my very happiest & healthiest life so soon!

She would do best in a quiet home as she still frightens easily, and that she has not learned how to go up or down stairs yet.

Adoption Fee: $560 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
