Birdella

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Bichon Frise
Age: DOB: 01/2023
Weight: 17 lbs
Dog Friendly: Yes- would do best w/ another dog in the home
Cat Friendly: Unknown
Kid Friendly: Unknown
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Birdella is a beautiful adult lady who needed a second chance at a good life. She is super sweet and friendly who is officially ready to start her journey in finding her forever home soon!

A Note from the Foster: Hi-
My name is Birdella, but my foster mom calls me Birdie. I am a 2 year old Bichon Frise.

I am a very happy, spunky girl who was quite shy in the beginning, but I have become much more relaxed in my foster home with my foster mom and big sister Ava, a Cavapoo.

Ava has helped me learn to go outside to go potty, and I have been very successful not going potty in my crate.  I am learning how to signal when I have to go outside too.

I love to cuddle with my big sister Ava on the sofa, and I nap there with her often. I am not fond of being in my kennel and I grumble a bit, but eventually calm down to rest.

I need a home where someone can take me out frequently. I like going for walks and am improving my walking ability on a leash. Lying in the grass is an also a fun thing for me to do, so a fenced yard would be a plus Being petted by my foster mom is calming, and I am becoming more comfortable being picked up and put on the couch to sit by her.

I need an opportunity to start a new life and I look forward to becoming a part of a forever home.

Adoption Fee: $510 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
