History: Benito is a super handsome boy who was recently surrendered to rescue and is doing well in his foster home and hoping to find his forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: enny is a young Italian Greyhound with all the classic features of the breed—graceful and elegant with those signature long legs and soulful eyes. Though not a puppy, you can tell he still has a playful spark. He loves to engage with my own Italian Greyhound, Ollie, and takes cues well from Ollie well regarding play boundaries.
Benny is a very timid guy when it comes to humans and new sounds—he startles easily and takes his time learning to trust. But he finds comfort and calm in his crate, where he quietly relaxes during the day. In fact, we haven't heard him bark once! He’s doing exceptionally well with house training - he hasn’t had a single accident indoors.
This sweet boy would thrive in a quiet, low-key home with patient humans who can give him the gentle encouragement he needs to blossom. He’s happy to be an only dog or to share a home with other calm, friendly pups.
If you’re looking for a gentle companion with the potential to become your most loyal friend, Benny may be your perfect match.

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
