History: Avenley is a super beautiful girl who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart with her smile and happy personality. She has her paws crossed to find her forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Do you want an easy going side kick for you and your dog(s)? Then Avenley (aka Ava) is the girl for you!
She is the sweetest, most gentle soul. She gets along with everyone and is definitely the most peaceful in the group - she hates conflict and just wants to play and be friends with every dog she meets.
She is shy around new people but loves to be near you and get pets once she warms up.
One of her special skills is the ability to fall asleep anywhere and in any position: sitting up, laying down, in a play bow… Her sweet and calm nature makes her an easy dog to add to your pack but she does need a family who will be patient and continue to help her overcome her fears of stairs and walking on a leash. After years of being kept in a cage, she is also working on learning how to go potty outside.
You might notice her pink “beauty mark” in her photos. It’s a harmless little bump that will be removed when she is spayed and before she is adopted so no need to worry!
This little girl deserves to be treated like a princess and is looking forward to finding a family of her own.
Adoption Fee: $750 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
