History: We welcomed a group recently from a partnering organization of ours, Villalobos Animal Rescue. Arrow is a really, really beautiful girl who is working on her trust and confidence. Once she settles in, she gives 100% to her people!
A Note from the Foster: Excuse me everyone my name is Arrow, as in the arrow is pointing to me now so ALL your attention must be HERE! 😂 My foster momma calls me Ari!
I traveled to Coco’s Heart from Villalobos Rescue Center. It was a long journey, and I have SO much to learn. I am a teenager now at approximately 6 months old. When I came into Coco’s rescue my foster momma was at my intake; she said I sat there not wanting to move, shaking like a leaf in the wind (I was pretty scared after my long journey but I am better now). Once my foster momma brought me to her home I was able to get to know her and show her how much I LOVE to give affection and love just as much as I enjoy getting it! She also had a hard time keeping me from her resident pups, she thought they were going to scare me! Oh goodness no, I could not wait to play!
Now that I have gained my confidence in my foster home I am a rambunctious ball of energy. I am working REALLY hard on my potty training and learning that I need to give a cue to go outside. I definitely know that when I start pacing around foster momma catches on and asks “do you have to go potty?” If I get really excited, we go outside and I go potty, and get a treat! Winning! Other than playing with the resident dogs I really enjoy self entertaining with toys and bones. I am working on learning how to play fetch but I don’t always bring the ball back. When we first started leash training I was definitely tugging A LOT! Foster momma grabbed this thing called a harness, I have used that before, I shoved my head right though when she brought it to me and I walked great with my harness on! Now I take my walks with a harness and leash not with my collar, I do much better this way. I do not love crates, I would much rather be snuggling with you, but if you put me in there and give me a chew I will behave. I may whine and complain a little at first, but I settle quickly.
One last thing I should point out that you may notice in some of my photos is a slight patch on my right side. This doesn’t bother me at all, I have just lost some hair there (like alopecia). My hair in that area has started to grow back slightly, and should hopefully eventually grow back completely. If not I don’t mind 🙂
I hope you will want to take some time to come and meet me! I will try to make it to as many events as a girl possibly can! I’ll be the black and white beauty in the pink harness! 💞🐾

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
