History: Addie is a beautiful petite lady who needed a second chance at a good life and arrived to rescue when she was surrendered by a commercial breeding facility. She is officially ready to start her journey in finding her forever home!
A Note from the Foster: Addie is the sweetest little 6 lb Chihuahua I have ever met! While she tries very hard to be brave… She is still a bit on the shy side. She has no fear of other dogs.. large or small. She is learning what the good life is and enjoys every aspect of it.
She’s not a fan of being held, but loves to be touched and will come to you for attention. She sleeps quietly in her kennel all night. Has done very well with outside potty training when kept on a schedule and she is just the sweetest deserving soul ever!
Her forever family should be one with lots of patience and an over abundance of love for this little sweetheart. They will need to be patient and celebrate every accomplishment and shining moment she has going forward.💕 She will be an amazing addition to a very special family.
She has learned a lot from the other foster dogs in my home and my own dogs. I think she would continue to do very well with another confident dog in the home or a forever family who is not gone a lot.
She loves treats and has recently begun playing with some toys. I would definitely say she is a flight risk and needs a fenced in area when outside. She currently does her thing inside a puppy pen inside a fenced yard. She is very small and fast on her feet. 🐾
Small children do make her nervous. She has been around young children ages 3 to 7, other dogs and a cat.
Addie is an absolute love and so deserving of an amazing forever family.
Adoption Fee: $500 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
