History: Addie is a beautiful petite lady who needed a second chance at a good life and arrived to rescue when she was surrendered by a commercial breeding facility. She is officially ready to start her journey in finding her forever home!
A Note from the Foster: Meet Addie – A Tiny Chihuahua Learning to Love
Addie is a 6-year-old, 7-pound Chihuahua with a tender heart and a fragile frame. She came to rescue as a breeder release and is slowly discovering what it means to be safe, cared for, and loved. 💕
Timid by nature, Addie is gently coming out of her shell — she enjoys quiet affection, gentle rubs, and has recently started choosing her favorite Nyla Bones and squeaky toys to play with. Watching her grow more curious and confident each day is truly heartwarming.
While she doesn’t require another dog in the home, Addie continues to learn from the other calm foster dogs she lives with and enjoys spending time with them. She does well on a routine and is making great progress with potty training, especially when kept on a consistent schedule and given regular access to a fenced yard.
Due to a previously broken leg, she needs a gentle, low-impact lifestyle. She’s also still considered a flight risk, so a secure, physically fenced yard is essential.
Addie would love nothing more than to spend her golden years in a quiet home with kind, patient adults. Loud noises and small children make her nervous, so an adult-only home where she can feel safe and loved is ideal.
With time and tenderness, Addie will reward you with quiet companionship and the joy of watching a once-shy soul blossom.
Are you Addie’s forever family? She is waiting ever so patiently for you!
Adoption Fee: $500 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
